'Sky', wake up and smell that virtual air. I hope you like those presents I gave you. Today is the day you will train to become a strong knight, and aid in our cau- Hey! Don't you walk away from me! You shouldn't wander away from the path the world has set out for you. No matter how uncomfortable it is. If you wander, you will regret it. I can't play very well when I'm angry, for the monotony is infectious.

While it isn't as good in the player agency department, it certainly does its job as the first big exposition push/world building entry. It does work to reaffirm its themes.
A big thing in 'The Game' seems to be the concept of monotony which you pull of beautifully in a meta kind of way but putting the player through a small series of repetitious clicks. There is another meta remark made about the music used, with the Sonic character mocking the bgm. The music also loops in a way that too makes it monotonous.
All and all this 'the plot thickens' sequence is another strong addition to this 'game'.

Great job on the artistic part, as well as the story part! Everything works together smoothly, and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more. c:

I've got to admit that I've turned music off. Not very bad, but not good for reading or gaming. (In my opinion, at least)
